done and everything technically working, it was
time for a shake down test
and to get to know the new rod.

Here's the Essex out of the garage ready for its first outing.

Finally, over one year late, the air cleaner is mounted atop the Holley carb.

Here's what it looked like in October 2006,
this is one of the two '38 Chrysler head light buckets that were used to build the air cleaner.
