The 455.

The engine has arrived!. This is a '74 455 cu. in. Olds, bored, with about 10:1 compression, improved lubrication, Edelbrock heads, intake and carb...
Should be somewhat better than the stock 160 horse 350...
(November 2008)

This is what the engine bay looks like right now. A downright horrible sight. Lots of stuff has been removed already, so the next move is to loosen a few fasteners and lift out the 350.

With the wheels jacked off the floor and the hood on the roof, the fun is about to begin.
What do you think about my paint job? It's a kind of grafitti but I haven't really got the hang of it yet...

A nice looking engine, some paint and a lot of cleaning up later, the engine compartment has improved a lot in the looks department...
(December 2008)

The rebuilt Turbo Hydramatic 400 has gotten itself a brand new B&M Holeshot 2,400 rpm stall turbine.
The tranny isn't much of a looker, but it features new internals and a home brewed shift kit. It will get a shiny brand new deep oil pan for increased oil capacity and secure oil supply during cornering.
