Starting the project, or just getting something to look at.

 

Coming first is the frame, sand blasted and in pretty good shape.

The body arrives. It's nothing much with it, really, just a pile of 80 year old american junk.

Aa you see, the cowl has been robbed of some sheet metal. The rear fender doesn't look too good either.

A dream come true: A Hot Rod project in my garage!
The frame is rolled into the garage, and the grille and an extra cowl are mocked up on it.

I just had to try to clamp down the front springs to get a bit of rake. A rod needs rake!

With a couple of BMW light alloy wheels in fromt of the wood spoke rims it looks a lot more like a rod. There's not much sheet metal on this body, it consists mostly of doors.
